‘Little Exhibition by the Sea’
29 Ross Smith Parade, Great Mackerel Beach 2108
Take the ferry to our Little Black Shack at Mackerel Beach to visit an exhibition of my little scapes of Pittwater and surrounds.
I look forward to sharing this magical place with you, where you will be able to see where I love to paint and where my inspiration comes from!
All artworks are for sale and there will also be limited edition signed prints and cards available to purchase.
Please note that it is an adventure getting to the shack! The ferry leaves Palm Beach on the hour, every hour from 9am to 12pm and then from 2pm to 5pm. Ferry ride tickets can be bought on the ferry.
The ferry journey is picturesque, stopping at all the bays around Pittwater and surrounded by Ku-ring Gai National Park. Many of the old boat sheds and scenery have featured in my paintings!
Mackerel Beach is the last stop before the ferry returns to Palm Beach. It is a friendly community of permanent homes and holiday houses with no cars or shops - a perfect escape from the mainland and yet so close at the same time!
After you get off the ferry, walk to the southern end of the beach and then follow the signs along a pathway which will eventually lead you to the shack. Once you reach the gate, there are a steep set of stairs descending to the house. Alternatively if the tide is very low, you can walk all the way to the shack along the beachfront.
